Challenge

Zimmer Biomet, a global leader in musculoskeletal healthcare, recognized the impact on patient outcomes from informed care decisions, especially pre and post-surgery. The challenge was how to deliver procedural education, answers to common questions and exercise recommendations and reminders to patients, all based on individual treatment protocols.

Solution

Zimmer Biomet asked Tahzoo to join the team along with Apple, SDL and Aprimo to help set a new standard in digital healthcare. Tahzoo designed, developed, deployed, and supports a global content hub providing mobile personalized content delivery. Using iPhone and Apple Watch as the user experience delivery channels, Mymobility facilitates continuous data exchange and bi-directional communications between physicians and patients related to their pre- and post-surgical orthopedic care management.​

Pairing SDL Tridion DX, SDL Managed Translation and Aprimo Digital Asset Management, Tahzoo architected, developed, deployed and is supporting a “single center of truth” DAM for content, coupled with a headless CMS enabling the multi-directional publishing of personalized content to proprietary apps on participating patients’ iPhones and Apple Watches.​

Results

Zimmer Biomet and Apple’s MyMobility solution provides informed care decisions through digital health. Along the end-to-end episode of care, MyMobility supports patient satisfaction, minimizes out-of-pocket expenses and differentiates the surgical practice. It is currently being deployed in an major clinical study with over 10,000 participants to demonstrate the impact of Mymobilty on patient outcomes. ​
