Sodexo serves 300 educational institutions across the globe. While they excel at the organization and operation of food service facilities, ranging from residence hall cafeterias to coffee houses, they struggled to provide a cogent digital experience that met the expectations of today’s students and parents.
While every university wanted to uniquely brand their student food services websites, they shared a common need for key functionality. Sodexo customers wanted to create a world class website that would list and highlight locations and features, present menus and most importantly helping students manage their meal plans. The answer was to create a flexible template supported by a centralized content management system that could publish unique instances while managing the dependency and inheritance rules that governed the sites.
Tahzoo implemented and supports a centralized SDL Tridion-based content management system to serve all of Sodexo’s education customers. The Tahzoo Studios UX/UI team designed the user interface in such a way as it can easily be branded for each university with enough flexibility to accommodate specialized requirements. The labs team built the website on the new Tridion Web 8.5 platform. The infrastructure team supports and maintains all the websites built on the single CMS system, including managing the application lifecycle and the hosting instances.
